Thank goodness spring is almost here. I just say “almost” because in Montana we are still getting some sprinkles of snow every now and then! Its hard when you want to actually dress like its spring but you still have to wear all the sweaters, boots and jackets. I put together a few outfits and some tips that could help transition your wardrobe into the warmer weather!
1. Wear Light Colors
When you still want to be warm but look like you are also dressing for spring go for a light colored sweater or light wash jeans. There is just something about light and bright colors that makes an outfit feel more spring like. If its really chilly you could add a long sleeve underneath your sweater to keep the look the same but adding a little warmth! I added some pastel pink shoes and a hanky. I have been obsessed with handkerchiefs in my hair and this little one is a floral print which is all the more perfect for spring!
2. Add Layers
I know it isn’t ground-breaking to add a cardigan to an outfit, but seriously it’s the way to go! Layering is such a good way to add to an outfit and stay warm without taking away from the main focus. If you are wearing a skirt or a pair of fun pants, wearing a long sleeve shirt underneath, then a cardigan, denim jacket, or light jacket makes you feel warm but you still get the same spring look. Also wearing any type of flower print instantly screams spring!

3. Wear Your Winter and Fall Boots
You don’t need to put the boots away anytime soon here in Montana. Adding tall boots, heeled boots, or your ankle booties to your dresses make you look more weather appropriate if you even feel brave enough to wear a dress. This awkward between-the-seasons time of year is hard to dress for because you can quite pull out the sandals yet but also boots and a sweater still feel too much like winter. So mixing a dress with boots is a little bit of a compromise.

Alright y’all lets keep hoping spring is right around the corner because I think we all could use some sunshine already! Until then keep layering up and wear as much spring time clothing you can!
